Are you wondering, do I need a lawyer for a criminal or DUI case in Maryland? Learn why the answer is yes you do in this video.
Question:
Do I need a lawyer to represent me in a criminal case matter?
Answer:
Here at Alpert Schreyer, we would never recommend for someone to go into court without an attorney. The reason is simple. Even if there isn’t a defense to your case, there are ways to prepare for the eventuality that you will need to enter a plea of some sort. We know what the courts are looking for. We know how to position your case so you get the best possible outcome, no matter what the circumstance is. As a result, if you simply go to court and try to handle the matter yourself, you are placing yourself in a disadvantageous position. We wouldn’t want that for you. We would hope that you would consult with an attorney and specifically with Alpert Schreyer, trial attorneys.
